Media Conversion Estimate

We work with other television and video professionals in the Haddonfield and Cherry Hill areas of New Jersey to assist them in transferring their BetaSP videos to DVDs, digitizing this format for editing in Final Cut Pro, or transferring miniDV to BetaSP. We seldom, however, provide transfer of VHS or slides to DVD for the general consumer. The time involved is seldom understood by someone outside the profession, and our current production schedule presents a further challenge.

We of course continue to provide duplication and transfer services to those clients for whom we are also producing television and DVD programming.

DVDs are duplicated at $10.00 per DVD. VHS videos are transferred to DVD at $35.00 PER TAPE. Yes, if your tape "only has 15-minutes on it" the price is $35.00. If you have 25 tapes to transfer, the price is, yes, $35.00 per tape.

If you want your VHS tape edited then it must first be digitized, in real time, i.e., a 62-minute video takes 62-minutes to digitize. Then it must be edited, the compressed for DVD. The rate is $125.00 per hour from the time the digitizing process begins. To better understand this process please see our outline for the video production process.
