Interlink Media’s Television Production Process Overview
I. Pre-production

Concept development
- ascertain audience needs/expectations
- scriptwriter and producer work with content expert(s) to determine content

Script development
- scriptwriter submits treatment for approval to designated person
- breakdown of approved treatment for special effects, graphics, talent, locations, teleprompter, special production needs

Location co-ordination
- schedule talent(s), location(s) and crew(s) as necessary
- make travel arrangements (air, van, hotel)
- ascertain production equipment needs
II. Production

Video
- Digital DV taping on-location and/or studio

Graphics
- create graphics, lower thirds, and animation elements

Sound
- audition narrator talent and select/record music tracks
- audition on-camera talent
- record narration track(s) at Audio Post Philadelphia
III. Post-production

Digitize video into Final Cut Pro edit suite
- log each tape
- digitize possible segments
- assemble digital time-line of audio elements, interviews

Create sound tracks
- make hard copy transcription of selected interviews
- create paper rough-cut of script for client approval
- edit music, special effects and narration sound tracks

Prepare digital rough-cut
- assemble digitized video, sound and graphics elements
- client changes/approval to rough-cut

D. Edit master
- edit visuals per client changes
- add opening/closing graphics and credits
- add special effects and lower-thirds
- mix edited sound and narration to pictures
- create DVD for client approval and distribution
